A home project or camping weekend can leave an apartment crowded with things rarely used again. Borrowing is one option to compare with buying or hiring. Brisbane Tool Library lists tools, camping and recreational equipment in its collection. It is a separate organisation from Council’s Hamilton Library.

The operator lists Shed W1, Dock C Workshops, 221D MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton. Browse its inventory before choosing a membership. A catalogue entry is not a guarantee that an item is available for your dates.
Membership and the borrowing window
The membership page displays a $110 regular annual membership and a $95 annual concession option. It describes two-week loans, with a possible extra week if the item is not needed by someone else. Published item limits differ between sections of the operator’s website, so ask which limit applies to your chosen plan.
Collection needs a little planning
The operator’s FAQ says delivery is not available. Its Friday closing times also differ between the FAQ and footer. Confirm your collection window directly rather than relying on one of those times. Ask about dimensions, weight and accessories before arranging transport.
Make the comparison work for your household
Write down what you need, when you need it and how you will return it. Include the membership cost and two collection journeys in your comparison. For shared household projects, nominate one person to manage the reservation and return date. Ask the operator about safe use and any required instruction; a reservation alone does not establish that equipment suits your experience.
